Privacy Policy

Aleterra PBC ("Aleterra," "we," "us") operates aleterra.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

• Contact form. When you use the form on our Contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. The form is provided by Google Forms, so your submission is also processed under Google's Privacy Policy.
• Email and phone. If you email or call us, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to share.
• Scheduling. Meeting links on our site open Calendly. Information you enter there, such as your name, email and answers to booking questions, is collected by Calendly under Calendly's Privacy Notice and shared with us so we can hold the meeting.

Information collected automatically

We use two analytics services to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it:

• Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and clicks on links. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages, including mouse movements, scrolling and clicks, and produces heatmaps and session replays. Text typed into form fields is masked by default. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Both services use cookies and similar technologies to recognize repeat visits. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) and font provider (Google Fonts) also receive standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, when your browser loads the site.

How we use information

• To respond to your inquiries and schedule meetings
• To follow up about our products and services when you've contacted us
• To understand site usage and improve our content and design
• To keep the site secure and working properly, and to comply with legal obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business (such as Google, Microsoft and Calendly, as described above), when required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to information we received.

Your choices

• Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them, but we won't be able to measure your visit.
• Google Analytics opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
• Emails from us. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, email info@aleterra.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.

How long we keep information

We keep contact and meeting information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain our business relationship, and then delete it unless we need to keep it for legal or record-keeping reasons. Analytics data is kept for the limited periods set in our Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity accounts.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website, transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and public agencies. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Visitors outside the United States

This site is intended for visitors in the United States, and information is processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and change the effective date above.
